Boston Indies demo game night
Thank you, everyone who tried out Torrin's Trial yesterday, whether in person or online.
Bringing an extension cable was a good idea, Boston Indies was packed! Also the tagline did its job. If you didn't like strategy games you moved on without asking me what the game was.
I expected the UI to be a problem. There were some improvements from the February demo night. One thing everyone struggled with involved scrolling the camera while selecting actions. I'm still working on the new UI. I also noticed people were clicking through dialogues too quickly. I could see some frustration from some of the testers - turns out UI design for strategy games is really hard!
I'm pretty sure a couple of the testers were game designers, and one person was into Table Top RPGs (he recognized some of the terminology from Pathfinder.)
