Elusive: Enemies don't block


Elusive lets you pass through enemies

Torrin's Torrent Surge now lets her pass through enemies so they can't block her way. Not super useful right now but the next playable character will benefit greatly from this.

Rolling a 12 improves results

If you roll a 12 (1/36 chance) the result is one step better - Success becomes a Critical Success, Failures become Successes, and Critical Failures become Failures. You'll see "MAX!" in the attack window if this happens. In previous versions, rolling a 12 guaranteed a Critical Success which meant enemies could get very lucky. So this is a long term buff for players.

Conversely, rolling a 2 (1/36 chance) reduced the result by 1 step. Critical Success is now a Success, Success is now a Failure, and Failure is now a Critical Failure. You'll see "botch..." when this happens on an attack. The previous behavior was to make a 2 always Critically Fail. This doesn't have too much of an impact right now as there was little difference for a Failure vs Critical Failure.

What's next?

The locust doesn't highlight its attack range. I've had situations where Torrin is attacked when she's nowhere close to the locust's movement. I'll need to fix that.

Under the covers, I noticed a much improved testing suite that will speed up my efforts, I'll be switching to that. I'm still trying to figure out how I want to do visual testing.
